From 2011-2017, we invested over $100M in supporting artists as allies in equitable community development. As part of this we were able to invest $87M in 279 creative placemaking projects in 208 communities of all sizes across the United States. While NCPF is no longer running, ArtPlace is continuing to support practitioners doing creative placemaking in a variety of ways, from our Local Control, Local Fields program, to our partnership with ioby Artists Lead!. There are also the myriad ways our cross-sector initiatives, comprehensive community development, and communications work have created field building opportunities to support people doing work on the ground.
